Stracciatella (meaning “little shred” in Italian) is a method that was invented in a gelateria in northern Italy, inspired by stracciatella alla romana soup. The simple, yet stunning method involves pouring melted chocolate into the batch freezer making it instantly solidify and shred throughout the base. Our version is a combination of our rich vanilla cream base with tiny flakes of dark Callebaut chocolate throughout. Who says simple is boring?
